ROCKPORT, Maine — The Rockland Women’s Golf Association is seeking sponsors for the second annual Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic Golf Tournament. The co-ed, shotgun start tournament will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Rockland Golf Club, 606 Old County Road.
Funds raised will benefit breast cancer support services in the midcoast in partnership with
the Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation. Last year, the inaugural event generated more than $12,000 to support local women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The goal is to surpass that amount this year.
Sponsorship levels range from $100 Tee Level to $1,500 Eagle Level, with additional sponsorship categories to suit businesses and organizations of all sizes.
Sponsors will be recognized according to their donation level, which may include tournament signage, promotional materials, and mention in event press releases and at the event.
The Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic is a four-player scramble, open to both men and women. The fee of $100 per player includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, gift bags, prizes and fun. There will be raffles and prizes will be awarded to the top men’s, women’s and mixed teams. Sandbagger’s Cafe will provide lunch.
