VEAZIE – Kathy King, 61, beloved wife of 41 years to David F. King, lost her four-year battle with breast cancer May 25, 2012. She was born Nov. 30, 1950, in Bangor, daughter of John F. and Agnes T. (LeClair) Redman.

Kathy was employed with Kmart for 35 years, Eastwood Contractors for one year, and for the past five years with Acadia Hospital.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, David; and her mother, Agnes of Brewer, are one brother, John Redman and his wife, Vanessa, of Stillwater; two sisters, Mary Ellen Russell and her husband, Jim, of Bangor and Brenda Boltz of Sturbridge, Mass.; her very special nieces and nephews, Jamie, Libby, Andrea, Deidre, Lauren, Ben and Emily; one great-niece, Maya; many dear friends, especially, Carol Thompson of Veazie; her canine companion, Samantha; and two feline companions, Millie and Molly.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 28, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille officiating. Private interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie. The family invites friends and family for conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
