ROCKLAND, Maine — The Rockland Fire Department gave support to a local physics class to allow students to test their skills.

The department loaned their tower truck to Dave Allen’s physics classes at Ocean Side High School on Thursday, May 24. The students used the truck as a 93-foot-high platform to test their ability to package an egg so it would not break when dropped from that height.

Many students were successful as their eggs did not break. Some eggs were still whole even after being dropped twice.
