Islesboro Central School announces honor parts

Islesboro Central School class of 2012, will graduate at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in the school’s Kinnicutt Center. The commencement speaker will be Suzanne Bolduc.

Claire Boucher, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Boucher of Islesboro, has been named co-valedictorian of her class. She plans to attend Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to pursue a degree in international relations and hopes to continue to study dance.

Dashiell Marley, son of Greg Marley and Valli Geiger of Rockland, has been named co-valedictorian of his class. He plans to attend Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., to pursue an education in his varied interests including social psychology and environmental sciences.

Forest Putnam, son of David Putnam of Brooklin and Sandra Mattson of Northport, has been named salutatorian of his class. He plans to attend Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I., to pursue a degree in international relations with a focus on environmental sciences.
