LINCOLN, Maine — A local man was being evaluated at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln after he crashed his motorcycle on Route 6 on Sunday, police said.

Terrence Libby, 54, of Lincoln was headed toward Lee when his Suzuki slid across the road into a ditch on the southbound side of the road between Frost Street and White Point Estates Road shortly before 3:30 p.m., Officer Mark Fucile said.

Libby suffered bruises and other minor injuries to his right leg and arm in the accident, Fucile said. Fucile and state police Trooper Thomas Fiske suspect that Libby was traveling too fast for conditions.

A blood sample also was drawn from Libby and will be analyzed, Fucile said.
