MILLINOCKET – Anne Marie Pelletier, 96, gently passed away April 26, 2012. She was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Soldier Pond, the daughter of George and Olive (Pelletier) Bouchard.

She was the wife of the late Emile Pelletier, with whom she had 62 wonderful years. Anne Marie grew up in Soldier Pond and was a graduate of Fort Kent High School, class of 1933. She loved to cook and was an avid book reader. She always had a smile for everyone she met. She was very active at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, especially with lawn parties and bake sales. Dancing was her passion, as was winning at playing cards. She loved having company.

Anne Marie is survived by two sons, George and wife, Patricia, of Millinocket and Mark and wife, Sandra, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four grandsons, Kristian, Erik and wife, Stephanie, of Berlin, N.Y., Noel and wife, Erika, of Delanson, N.Y., and Kevin of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters, Karry Anne Foster and husband, Michael, of McFarland, N.C., and Natalie Pelletier of Parkton, N.C.; 12 great-grandchildren, Kassandra Pelletier of Florida, Erika and Stephen Pelletier of New York, Matthew, Mark and Luke Foster of North Carolina, Claire Pelletier of Florida, Johnathan and Tyler Parris, Ashlyn Browning, Katherine Darby and husband, Michael, and their daughter Alannah, and Christa Pelletier; many nieces and nephews. Anne Marie was the last member from a family of 10.

Friends may visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where the Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in Anne Marie’s memory may be made to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
