BANGOR, Maine — Falling tree limbs due to strong winds caused more than 1,000 power outages Tuesday across Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. service territory, the company said.
A sizable outage in the Millinocket area was caused by a tree falling onto a power line, according to Bangor Hydro.
The company reported a total of 1,0008 outages Tuesday afternoon, most of them in northern Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. In addition, there were 35 outages in Washington County.
