The Small Business Administration is holding a “speed banking” event on Wednesday to help small business owners meet lenders.
The “Meet the Lenders Speed Banking Conference” runs from 12:30 to 5 p.m. April 25 at Augusta Civic Center’s North Wing and is free to attend, the SBA said in a release.
“This is the perfect opportunity for small business owners, and those who are interested in starting their own business, to talk directly with lenders from their region regarding their business’ financing needs,” said Maurice Dube, SBA district director for Maine. “This is also a terrific time for conference participants to get free technical assistance developing their business plans and loan proposals.”
The event also will include remarks from Jeanne Hulit, SBA’s associate administrator for capital access, and Theo Noell, manager of programs and outreach at Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
The conference is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Maine SCORE and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
