WESTBROOK, Maine — Police are searching for a man who allegedly held up a convenience store on Saturday.
Westbrook police Sgt. Timothy Morrell said in a news release the robbery took place about 4:15 p.m. at Art’s Variety on Spring Street.
The male suspect allegedly went into the store and demanded cash from the clerk. He indicated he had a gun but did not display one, the release said. The suspect, who is described as being between 5 foot 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build, escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man was wearing a black winter jacket, black ski mask and a camouflage shirt, according to the release.
