Waterville police seeking man who robbed woman of prescription drugs at gunpoint

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

WATERVILLE, Maine — Police are on the hunt for a man they say robbed a woman of prescription drugs at gunpoint Friday night and escaped.

The woman, whom Waterville police Det. Chris Paradis would not name, was not injured in the robbery, which occurred at her Nicole Drive mobile home just after 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The suspect, who had a mask over his face, went into the woman’s home, brandished his weapon and demanded prescription drugs, according to Paradis.

“He did get some drugs,” Paradis said. “I’m not going to disclose what they were, but yes, he did.”

Paradis added the suspect was “in and out pretty quickly.”

The investigation remains open Monday. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts should contact Waterville police at 680-4700.
