VEAZIE, Maine — A local man was summoned about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after a Veazie police officer found him on a bench at Veazie Community School.

When Officer Brian Sirois stopped by the school to see what Charles Eames, 27, was doing there at that hour, he found a small plastic bag containing a usable amount of marijuana on Eames’ person and summoned him for possession, Officer Dain Bryant said Monday.

Bryant said the police report indicated that Eames told Sirois that he was at the school to cool off after his girlfriend, with whom he lived nearby, had broken up with him.
