BANGOR and STANDISH – Clark Edward Noonan was killed in an auto accident in Standish April 14, 2012. He was born Jan. 23, 1992, in Nashua, N.H. He was 20 years old at the time of his death.
At the time of his death he was a sophomore attending Saint Joseph’s College, Standish. Clark loved having an opportunity to compete in athletic competition. He started playing soccer at a very young age and excelled at the game. He played varsity for Bangor High for two years and was nominated for several awards. In eighth grade he discovered the game of basketball and loved it with a passion. He went on to play varsity for two years at Bangor as well. He continued playing basketball at Saint Joseph’s College, Standish. He truly loved playing that sport. Clark’s favorite place to be was "on the island" in Islesboro. For 20 years he spent part of his summer vacation at the family home. It was here that he learned to sail, kayak, played Monopoly but most of all he spent time with his family. Many of our favorite memories were created while together on vacation.
He is the son of Edward and Christine Noonan; and the brother of Allison Noonan, all of Bangor. He is the paternal grandson of Edward and Judy Noonan of Framingham, Mass.; and the maternal grandson of Janice Woodman of Milford, N.H. Further, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Rodney "Boo" Woodman of Milford, N.H.
