The BDN is streamlining its process for reporting high school games this spring as it did for the winter season.

We are requiring schools to report their games to the website instead of calling or faxing us.

Doing so is the best way to guarantee that the game will appear on the BDN website and in the newspaper.

FOR ALL GAMES, we are asking schools to list each team’s record and the first and last names of players mentioned for each team. Also, key highlights to the game, if you have time to provide them.

FOR BASEBALL and SOFTBALL, we are asking for the top hitters for each team along with what their hits are (single, double, triple, HR) and RBIs, as well as stats on pitchers such as strikeouts and walks.

FOR TENNIS, we are asking for a complete summary of the match, singles and doubles, with scores, such as John Doe (school) def. Joe Smith 8-6.

TO REPORT a baseball or softball game or tennis match to the BDN website, visit bangordailynews.com/sports/scores, click on your game or match, add the information and hit submit. Do not hit submit until you have added all of your information.

We also ask for schools to email results to us for other high school events, such as track and field. Other high school information, such as schedule changes or listings of all-star teams, should be emailed to bdnsports@bangordailynews.com.

FOR POSTPONED GAMES, email the rescheduled date to the BDN as soon as possible.

Example of how a high school tennis match should be reported:

Singles: Tyler Small (E) def. Johnny Vu 8-2, Jasper Adams (GSA) def. Dillon Toothaker 8-4, Tyler Beardsley (E) def. Alex Heilner 8-5; doubles: Brandan Albee-Dustin Murphy (E) def. Jason Gao-Roy Xu 8-1; Alec Toothaker-Evan Toothaker (E) def. Nick Dillon-Ed Lamayer 9-7
