By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

WATERVILLE, Maine — Police are on the lookout for two suspects they believe are responsible for stealing a cash register from a convenience store and a cash drawer from Dunkin’ Donuts.

The most recent burglary took place early Wednesday morning at the College Quick Stop convenience store on West River Road, according to Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey. The burglary at Dunkin’ Donuts took place early Tuesday morning.

In both instances, the suspects used a rock to break a window to get into the stores. At the College Quick Stop, the suspects took the entire cash register, while during the Dunkin’ Donuts burglary the suspects took the cash drawer but left the register.

Surveillance video from the Dunkin’ Donuts burglary shows a heavyset female handing the cash drawer over to an accomplice and taking off on foot toward Main Street.

The Dunkin’ Donuts burglary took less than two minutes.

Detective Chris Paradis is investigating both cases.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspects is encouraged to contact Waterville police at 680-4700.
