Houle leads MMA past Lyndon State

CASTINE — Tom Houle scored six goals and assisted on two others as Maine Maritime Academy cruised past Lyndon State College 20-2 in men’s lacrosse action Saturday.

Brian Corain, Andrew DiSalvo and Bronson Guimond each had three goals and three assists for the 3-5 Mariners. Nicholas Betti posted two goals and an assist while Nick Snelling had a goal and two assists. Oscar Adams and Gavin Cote combined for seven saves on nine shots.

Ryan Brown scored both goals for 2-3 Lyndon State. Matt Reynolds stopped 22 of 42 shots.

Husson 21, Johnson 7

At Bangor on Saturday, Mitch Heaps registered six goals and one assist as Husson University rolled to the win over Johnson State College.

Ben Landry scored six goals and grabbed an assist for the 7-5 Eagles. Wayne Stubbs posted three goals and an assist while Nick Brown had two goals and two assists. Dustin Brett chipped in with two goals and an assist. Eric Lund blocked 13 of 20 shots.

Alex Petti led 1-6 Johnson State with three goals and an assist. Zach Jerome made 15 saves on 36 shots.
