BANGOR, Maine — A man driving without a license was seen by Bangor police Officer Steve Jordan on Friday morning, but the officer was not immediately able to catch up with him, Bangor police Sgt. Bob Bishop said Saturday.
A short time later, however, Jordan found the man’s vehicle parked illegally in the Bangor Gardens and charged him with driving with a suspended driver’s license, the sergeant said.
Jamie Robichaud, 32, of Bangor reportedly lied about his identity in an apparent attempt to avoid being charged, but Jordan didn’t fall for it, Bishop said.
After Robichaud gave a fake name, Jordan had someone at the police station print off a picture of Robichaud’s suspended driver’s license and bring it to him.
“The photo matched,” Bishop said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
