LUBEC – Edward M. Dinsmore, 66, died unexpectedly April 2, 2012, while working in the woods. He was born March 26, 1946, in Whiting, son of the late Louis E. and Marie L. (Guptill) Dinsmore.

He remained a proud "Mainer" his entire life. He was a graduate of Washington Academy. After graduation he worked a variety of jobs, including cutting wood, driving trucks, digging clams and land clearing.

He is survived by his wife, Opal T. (Lyons); children, Louis E. Dinsmore and wife, Renee, Robert L. Dinsmore, and Lori A. Dinsmore; grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler and Chloe; and brother, David Dinsmore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Linda Moores.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Whiting Village Cemetery. A luncheon will be held after at the home of Louis and Renee Dinsmore, 1705 County Road. Those wishing to make donations to celebrate Edward’s life may do so to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
