WINDHAM, Maine — A Windham man was seriously injured Tuesday morning when the vehicle he was driving veered into the rear of a boom truck owned by FairPoint Communications, according to police.

James Callaghan, 47, was eastbound on Route 302 just before 11:30 a.m. when his Subaru Forester struck the boom truck, which was performing line operations, according to a news release from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
