SUV reported stolen in Houlton

By Julia Bayly, BDN Staff

HOULTON, Maine — Police are asking the public to be on the look out for a green 1993 Oldsmobile Bravado sport utility vehicle reported stolen Friday off a lot at the intersection of Military Street and Pennington Street.

According to Officer Ezekiel Collins of the Houlton Police Department, the SUV is registered to, and was reported stolen by, Peter Fitzpatrick of Houlton.

Collins said Fitzpatrick parked the SUV on his lot and last saw it around noon Friday. Sometime between 6 and 7 p.m. he noticed it was missing, Collins said, adding the keys were inside the vehicle at the time.

The SUV has a Maine license plate with the number 9067SC and has been outfitted with aftermarket black fenders in the front and a steel bumper on the back.

“We are hoping someone just took it for a joyride and then ditched it somewhere intact,” Collins said.

Anyone with information on the missing vehicle is asked to call the Houlton Police Department at 532-2287 or the department’s tip line at 694-3545.

Information and a photo similar to the missing vehicle have been posted on the Houlton Police Department’s Facebook page.

Sgt. Fred Parker is the lead investigator on the case.
