DANFORTH – David A. Kinney, 61, died March 27, 2012, at his home, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born Oct. 23, 1950, in Lincoln, son of George and Barbara (Beers) Kinney.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Noyes) Kinney of Danforth; daughters, Kristy Harris of Bangor and her sons, Adrien, Thomas, Gavin and Isaiah, Nancy Nadeau of Millinocket and husband, Brian, and their son, Lucas, and Lydia Hollingsworth of Ellsworth and spouse, Tracey Hollingsworth; and brothers, Kenneth Kinney of Connecticut and his wife, Terri, and Thomas Kinney of Massachusetts and his wife, Anne. He was predeceased by his parents; and one sibling, Gail Kinney.

David had a 25-year career working in the railway service industry. Throughout his life he was involved in his community by serving on the local school board and town planning committee. He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his family.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Danforth Cemetery, with a celebration of his life afterward at Danforth Grange. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. For an online guest book, please visit
