I’ve got to visit the Regency Trailer Park, must be quite a place…

It’s idiots like this drunken out of control guy that cause Regency  to have a bad repore..I personally know and am related to “the nice family” that almost got “taken out” by this driver….

      • Thank god they had quick thinking and enough time to! This is just plain horrible and bet Porter doesnt give a *s* that he almost hit a child!

Yes, because 2 or 3 bad eggs make the whole place horrible. Someone has children there that probably have a great hard working mom and dad, great Christmas, great friends. They probably have lives many rich people could only dream of. I have plenty of wealth but where you are from or the house you live in does not define a persons qualities. I know many people that live in trailer parks and some of them I would much rather talk with then some of the self proclaimed brilliant here. They are actually much smarter.

For once, I agree with you 100%.  But having direct experience in that park,  I will say it’s not a safe place for families, and the police for all the time they spend there have not made it any better.

WHERE exactly is there a safe place for families in your mind?  Dover, No,  Milo.. No not there either. Lamoine, Ellsworth, Brewer? If a crime occurs it is not safe?  That pretty-much eliminates the USA.

I knew you would come around.

Seriously though, I know many other places where parents must take extra precautions due to the environment they are living in, some of those places right here in Bangor. I used to spend some time in LA (Los Angelos not LaGrange) and the windows have bars on them in areas and there are shootings regularly in those areas with innocent bystanders, sometimes children, getting killed. We still have it pretty good up here, I was born here, left here, made a couple bucks, then decided to come back here not to make any real money but to enjoy the tranquility this area offers. I am happy with my decision. With that said, I still carry a piece and have one easily available at home.

Now if Congress could just get along like we do this country might be able to dig out of this mess a little faster.

I hear ya, Bushfan! Left Maine, went to Pittsburgh PA, came back home…Parts of Pittsburgh are truly scary. Bangor, Brewer, Old Town not so much! Try living in Garfield, East Liberty, Wilkinsburgh,  Beechview, The Hill District, all parts of the City of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, overall,  is not that bad for a city, just parts of it are awful.  HA, Bangor and surrounding area are nothing compared to those places.

I would live in Maine over any other place, ever! I, too, went away, made a few bucks and came back home to roost.

Yes, Bushfan, you are right on the money…Like I said, I am related to “this nice, hard working, great family”, who by the way are wonderful parents!!

They aren’t all on drugs.  But enough of them are.  It’s a terrible place to bring up a child.

  • Didn’t start drinking until he got home….. yeah i bet

    Another winner.

It’s quite a distance between Old Town and Brewer.  I’d like to know exactly why “police in the area were not in position to pull him over”.  As a matter of fact, their positioning was so poor, he was able to crack open a cold one when he landed home.

  • Maine is going totally insane.  This place is more unsafe than NYC.  Bunch of drug addict lunatics out of control.

Go live in East Harlem or the Bronx for a year and get back to me. Maine or Bangor isn’t even close when talking crime.

      •  Many towns in Maine have higher per capita crime rates than New York City, for murder, burglaries, property crimes, other violent crimes. Bangor is one of them.

There is nothing “magical” about Maine. The truth is, it is high dysfunctional.
