ORONO, Maine — Chancellor Richard Pattenaude is attending his last University of Maine System trustees meeting as leader of the seven-university system.

Monday’s meeting at the flagship university’s campus in Orono will feature votes on new academic programs to meet work force demands as well as a new bachelor’s degree in tourism and hospitality.

Trustees will also consider tenure applications and a collective bargaining agreement.

Pattenaude, who has served since 2007, is retiring. Trustees last month approved his replacement, James Page, who’s CEO of James W. Sewall Co. in Old Town. printed on August 21, 2017
