ORONO, Maine — Voters re-elected three Town Council incumbents and picked three representatives to join the Riverside RSU school board during Tuesday night’s municipal election.

Thomas Perry, Lianne Harris and Judith Sullivan will retain their seats on the council after receiving 335, 325 and 308 votes, respectively.

The fourth candidate, Daniel LaPointe, drew 82 votes.

Voters chose Andrew Gavett III for a two-year term on the school board. He beat out three write-in candidates.

Orono also had to fill two three-year seats on the school district board. Francis Mary Neubauer drew 270 votes, but the second position was up for grabs by a write-in candidate.

Wayne Scott drew support from 129 voters, the most of the four write-in candidates, and will take the second three-year seat to represent Orono in the school district.
