A good move . . . Tom is an old school journalist with integrity. Worked under him as a stringer and columnist for a number of years.

This decision comes less than a week after Village Soup goes under. Coincidence?

http://online.journalism.utexas.edu/detail.php?story=243&year=2008 In this 2008 interview Village Soup CEO Richard Anderson explained his success. The last few words of it remain eerily true.

“I want to prove that we can be the leader in defining this new category of business,” Anderson said.

“We’ve achieved a revenue no one else has. We’ve achieved a user loyalty no one else has,” he said. “We’ve disrupted a legacy.”

Well, he was right about the last thing anyway.

  • Tom is an attractive man and will do a great job, because fair-looking citizens usually succeed. Unfortunately, though, he loses credibility in the area by being a Knicks fan, but the Midcoast area is home to some pretty forgiving people.

Enjoyed the editorials and beautiful Midcoast is getting a big boost.
