CARIBOU – Blanche M. St. Peter, 80, wife of the late Rene St. Peter Sr., died March 5, 2012, in Caribou. She was born May 27, 1931, in Caribou, daughter of the late Joseph and Cecile (O’Clair) Michaud.

Mrs. St. Peter was a member of Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Rene St. Peter Jr. and his fiancee, Lori McMillion, and Gary St. Peter, all of Caribou; two daughters, Arlene Chambers and her husband, Philip, of Fort Fairfield, and Diane Schinn and her fiance, Richard Shelton, of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Gilbert O’Clair of Limestone; four sisters, Anita Chambless of Shellman, Ga., Gertrude Minor and her husband, Robert, of New York, Germaine Damboise and her husband, Lionel, of Fairfield, and Mary Guerrette and her husband, Robert, of Caribou; eight grandchildren, Tanya Stubbs, Jennifer Belanger, Lisa Longley, Jason, Ryan and Kyle St. Peter, and Danielle and Duane Schinn; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. St. Peter was predeceased by her husband, Rene in 2003; and brother, Henry.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, at Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
