WINSLOW, Maine — Tyler White scored two goals and recorded two assists to lead the top-ranked Brewer Witches to a 7-1 high school hockey victory over the No. 5 Old Town Coyotes in an Eastern Maine Class B semifinal at Sukee Arena on Saturday night.
Brewer advanced to Tuesday’s 7 p.m. regional final at Alfond Arena in Orono against No. 2 Messalonskee of Oakland, which beat No. 3 Presque Isle 8-0 in its semifinal.
Spencer Valley chipped in with a goal and three assists for the Witches, now 18-1. Michael Shedd and Kyle Alexander each added a goal and an assist while Joey Fowler and Gabe Valley notched a goal apiece. Jacob Chapman had two assists and Adam Cossette made 15 saves.
Peter Wilcox scored off an assist from Trevor Francis for 10-9-1 Old Town and Nathan Colannino made 35 saves.
In Saturday’s first game, Sam Dexter scored four goals to help the Eagles advance to Tuesday night’s final against Brewer. Messalonskee moved from Eastern A to Eastern B this season.
Josh Towle chipped in with two goals for 17-3 Messalonskee and Travis St. Pierre added three assists as the Eagles scored four goals in the third period to secure the victory.
Nate DelGiudice made 22 saves for Messalonskee and Nick Davis made 24 for Presque Isle, which finished at 12-8.
