ELLSWORTH, Maine — Two people are facing felony theft charges for reportedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of items from an Ellsworth supermarket last weekend.

Ellsworth police have issued summonses to Crystal Jones, 51, of Hancock and Keith Morse, 46, of Ellsworth for an incident in which the pair, along with a third, unnamed suspect, allegedly walked out of the Ellsworth Hannaford with $1,020 worth of groceries in three shopping carts. Lt. Harold Page said the thefts, which were captured on surveillance cameras, occurred between 7 and 8 p.m. Sunday.

Jones and Morse are facing Class C theft charges, which carry a maximum punishment of five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. The third suspect, who is male, has been identified but is still being sought, Page said Thursday.
