Entryway to Ellsworth hospital moving because of construction

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Beginning on Monday, Feb. 27, the entrance to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth will move to the Emergency Center entrance as construction continues on the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care expansion project.

The Medical Office Building entrances also may be used until the front entrance reopens by Memorial Day.

Construction of the new 6,000 square foot cancer center started in November and is expected to take a year to complete.

During normal working hours, volunteers will be available to direct patients and visitors as they enter through the Emergency Center Entrance.
