Kee leads USM men past Wentworth

BOSTON — Alex Kee nailed his first five shots and finished with 18 points to help lead the University of Southern Maine to a 71-60 men’s basketball victory over Wentworth Thursday night.

Jeremy Jackson chipped in with 14 points for the 11-13 winners. Brandon Tomah added eight points while Brian Alexander recorded seven points, eight assists and two steals.

Adam Dombrowski and Bo Leary each scored 11 points for 15-9 Wentworth and Ray Bessette added nine.

Women’s basketball

CMCC 78, EMCC 56

At Bangor, Maggie Sabine scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Central Maine Community College of Bangor by Eastern Maine CC.

Jamie Swart added 13 points for the winners and Karlee Biskup netted 10.

Emma Johnson paced EMCC with 16 points and Dani Ross added 12.
