BANGOR, Maine — Loud heavy metal music on Essex Street led to complaints from neighbors late Wednesday night, and when officers had to return to the residence, the man responsible was arrested, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Thursday.

Jonny Ngo, 26, was given a warning to turn down his music at around 11:40 p.m.

“Thirty-five minutes later there was another complaint about heavy metal music and he was taken to jail,” Edwards said.

Ngo remained at the Penobscot County Jail at noon Thursday, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
