ENFIELD, Maine — An unidentified man robbed Bridge Street Market of some cash when he entered the store at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday and demanded money, state police said Monday.

The man had his hands in his pockets when he entered the market at 36 Bridge St. but pointed at the clerk demanding money before the clerk gave him cash from the register and he fled, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

No gun was displayed, McCausland said.

State police interviewed several witnesses and are declining to say how much cash was stolen.
