BANGOR, Maine — A local man was arrested late Tuesday after he was found at an Odlin Road restaurant with a woman he is barred by the courts from being with, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Wednesday.
Employees at My Fork Restaurant & Sports Lounge the called police at around 10:35 p.m. Tuesday to ask that the woman be removed from the premises, the sergeant said.
“They wanted her out,” Edwards said. “She is a former employee who they asked not to return, ever.”
The 29-year-old woman is the same person that Edwin Guzman, 23, of Bangor is barred from seeing by court order after he was arrested on Jan. 27 for punching and smashing the rear passenger-side window of her car, Edwards said.
His hand was bleeding and she was locked inside her car when police arrived, the sergeant said at the time.
“They weren’t supposed to be around each other,” the sergeant said.
Guzman and the woman, who are in a relationship, were uncooperative with police during the January incident but officers gathered enough information to charge him with domestic violence criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
When police arrived at My Fork on Tuesday night Guzman was in the bathroom. Once he exited and police determined the two were together, he was arrested for violating his bail conditions and was taken to Penobscot County Jail, the sergeant said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
