BANGOR, Maine — Sutherland Weston Marketing Communications, a Bangor-based public relations and marketing firm, has added a digital media services division to its lineup.
The move will strengthen Sutherland Weston’s commitment to bringing new customers to its clients, company officials said in a news release Wednesday. The new digital media division will focus on generating business leads for clients, search engine ranking and integrating social media strategies.
Sutherland Weston has promoted Josh Whinery to the position of digital strategies manager.
“Since arriving at Sutherland Weston last spring, it’s been my goal to help our clients stimulate more business,” Whinery said. “Now we can do even more. Our new digital media services division will empower our clients to generate leads and grow their business.”
A graduate of Hampden Academy, Whinery holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in new media from the University of Maine. Before joining Sutherland Weston, he worked for Lafayette Hotels, VH1 and the TV show “Wheel of Fortune.” He lives in Hampden with his wife and son.
