OLD TOWN, Maine — Helen Hunt Health Center recently underwent renovations, including the addition of a full-scale pharmacy on the ground floor that once housed the staff lunch room and a meeting room, according to a press release from Penobscot Community Health Care. A walk-in care clinic with three exam rooms also was added.

Access to the pharmacy and walk-in care also is improved as they are now both on the ground floor. There is reserved parking in front of the doors, making it easy to pick up a medication refill or use the walk-in care any time, including evenings and weekends.

A new pediatrics clinic was created on the second floor of the building with their own suite of kid-friendly exam rooms and waiting area. In all, about 2,400 square feet of patient service area was added.

“The goal is to provide patients with great health care and convenience making sure our community stays strong,” said Helen Hunt practice manager Karen Graves. “I think we accomplished that.”
