The Associated Press

PATTEN, Maine — State police say a man has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash in Patten involving a snowmobile.

The crash happened Thursday night. Police say a snowmobile operated by 39-year-old Ronald McGraw struck a tractor-trailer parked in an intersection.

His passenger, 27-year-old Michael Grant, suffered a possible broken leg in the crash.

Police say McGraw fled the scene of the crash on the snowmobile, leaving Grant behind. Grant later was taken by ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police say McGraw was found at his residence on Saturday and was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He faces charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

McGraw was taken to the Penobscot County Jail. It wasn’t immediately known whether he had an attorney.
