Outlook: BU is 4-0-2 in the last six meetings with Maine. These are two of the nation’s hottest teams. Maine is 9-2-2 in its last 13 and 6-1-1 in its last seven while BU has won five straight. Special teams will play a huge role in the outcome. Maine has the nation’s second-best power play at 29.7 percent efficiency while BU is fifth at 23.9 percent thanks to a 13-for-33 showing over the last five games. Maine has a string of 15 consecutive games with at least one power-play goal (28-for-73) and the Black Bears have scored at least two in nine of those games. Maine has allowed nine shorthanded goals which ties the Bears with Sacred Heart for the most in the country. BU hasn’t missed a beat since losing high-scoring centers Corey Trivino (disciplinary) and Charlie Coyle (Major Junior), going 5-1.
