Man robs Cumberland Farms store in Portland

PORTLAND, Maine — Police are hunting for a man who held up a local convenience store Wednesday night, according to police Lt. Gary Rogers.

Rogers said a white male entered the Cumberland Farms store on Pine Street just after 9 p.m., brandished a handgun and robbed the two clerks.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was described as wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, Rogers said.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery, and anyone with information regarding the robber’s whereabouts is asked to contact Portland police at 874-8749.
