Camp Sunshine plans cold-water plunge fundraisers in Bangor, Portland

PORTLAND, Maine — Camp Sunshine is holding two cold-water plunges in Maine next month in hopes of raising $35,000.

The Bangor Polar Dip takes place Feb. 5 on Phillips Lake in Dedham with a goal of raising $10,000. The Portland Polar Dip is being held Feb. 11 at Portland’s East End Beach, with a goal of raising $25,000.

Proceeds from the events go to help Camp Sunshine, a national retreat on Sebago Lake in Casco for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Camp Sunshine is putting on 11 cold-water plunge fundraisers this winter from Maine to Virginia.
