Outlook: The Eagles are 8-2-1 in their last 11 meetings with Maine but Maine is 2-1-1 in the last four at Alfond Arena. Maine is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games while BC is 5-4-1 including a 2-3-1 mark over its last six games in which it has scored only 10 goals. BC is fast, tenacious and very talented. The Black Bears are going to have to neutralize BC’s speed advantage by moving the puck quickly, making smart dump-ins into the offensive zone and playing physical. BC will transform turnovers into transition scoring opportunities so puck management will be another key for Maine. One intriguing matchup will be Maine’s power play, third best in the country at 28.1 percent, against the nation’s second-best penalty-killing team as BC has killed off 89.2 percent of opposing power plays. BC has scored six shorthanded goals and Maine has allowed eight.
