OLD TOWN, Maine — An Old Town woman who was pulled over for running a red light early Saturday was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested, police said.

Old Town police Sgt. Scott Casey said Sarah Hinman, 24, made a left-hand turn on a red arrow from College Avenue onto Stillwater Avenue early Saturday and was pulled over by Officer Lee Miller.

Casey said the officer conducted field sobriety tests, which Hinman failed, resulting in her arrest and a charge of operating under the influence.

No passengers were in Hinman’s vehicle, according to Casey. She was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released on bail.

CORRECTION:

An earlier version of this story erroneously said the incident happened Monday. It happened Saturday.
