Man holds up Portland convenience store at gunpoint

An armed man wearing a ski mask robbed the Cumberland Farms store on Pine Street in Portland on Jan. 11, 2012, according to Portland police. The suspect, a white male standing 6 feet tall and weighing 225 pounds, remained at large.

PORTLAND, Maine — A man who was armed with a gun and wearing a ski mask help up a Cumberland Farms store on Pine Street on Wednesday night, police said Thursday.

Police Lt. Gary Rogers said the man went into the store at 10:25 p.m. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect, described as white, 6 feet tall and weighing 225 pounds, remained at large Thursday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to call Portland police at 874-8479.
