the players dont like Barron and they arent going to play hard for him….he tells them every day hes going to get rid of them…thats a real classy coach!!!  hes all just a show of…hope he moves on soon

oh, the players don’t like him…cry cry cry…

His job isn’t to be their best friend.  His job is to turn this once proud program around that Blodgett ran into the ground with horrible recruiting and coaching..

You’re just another clueless Maine fan. Get real Dana!

So the players don’t like Barron and they aren’t going to play hard for him. Well, that says more about their character than their ability. I’d be nice if they responded with an “I’ll show him” attitude, instead. If I’m their employer down the road, I don’t want or need them working for me. If I’m a teammate that hates to lose, I don’t want them beside me on the court.

Coaching is not just about X’s and O’s, wins and losses. The great coaches are more like drill instructors than sociology teachers. They are character builders who demand that each player dig deep inside themselves to find that X factor that will get them through tough situations later in life.

If I’m a parent of one of those girls, I want someone who is going to drive her and motivate her to be the best she can be. If these girls just want to have fun playing basketball, then they don’t belong in Division 1 basketball, and they aren’t worthy of the free college education they are receiving from the taxpayers.

I’m sure they are wonderful girls and good students and you mean well by them, but this is not the YWCA league and maybe it’s just not the right place for them. I wish them well in the future, but frankly, as a long time follower of this program, I hope Barron stays for a while and restores this program to the prominence it once had.

Can tell you have never been a parent in your life..ive read alot of your b.s. on hear and MAYBE 10% is the truth, clueless?? thats a joke…i now alot of the parents on the team…been told alot   if you get ZERO respect from a coach  how do they expect the girls are going to play there hearts out..They would of been a better team this yr.if Blodgett had been there coach.u can be as negitive as u want to be…..so hes going to get junior college girls, oversears girls,  Then whats all the maine people going to say to that..i think i use to hear  OH we got to keep all the great players here from maine…didnt we???  you need to get real………………………..real

ur so full of it   she got caught for stealing    get ur stories straight     this year       what a fool u are

      Wrongo once again, Ms Dana.

See, I told ya Blo0dgett covered it up nice & pretty.  Ask Coach Barron or Mr. Abbott, as I’m sure they know what happened last year.  Many do, but apparently not you.  It was a very serious crime.  You know what they say about not eating where u sh*t, right?  Well doesn’t DeadRiver sponsor UMO WBB, and don’t they own some gas stations in Orono?  I think a few might even have ATM’s and cameras.  hint…hint…

Oh Dana, it’s been nice playing with you, but you have your head way too far up Ms. Blodgett’s you know what.I’ll bet u actually believed her when she said she had signed the National JUCO POY in order to desperately try & save her job, right Ms. Dana?

p.s. your talking to the wrong people if they don’t know what happened last year. : )

your such a fool   how dare u to say these things about people….guess what???  if ur in jail it doesnt really matter doesnt it??? now u got ur a– up abbott andbarron     dont bother to write back…u now nothing….looks of books to read in jail huh???? and computer time!!!!!!!!!!!

“I now nothing”????  what does that mean, Dana?

What did I say that was wrong about Coach Blodgett?  She blatantly lied about signing the National JUCO POY, who was in fact the D2 Mohawk Valley JUCO POY for her small conference in upstate NY.  Not even remotely close to the National JUCO POY.

That would like saying that the Gatorade POY in Maine was the National GPOY!!!

      :0 :) :)

As for the stealing thing u mentioned.  Check it out and see who’s wrong Dana, and then go to the ATM at the gas station in Orono and do a follow up.

Blodgett should have nipped this in the bud when she had the chance and then this girl would not have a criminal record.  Way to be a leader coach!
