BANGOR, Maine — Husson University will host Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary C. Mayhew on Thursday, Jan. 19.
Breakfast hors d’oeuvres will be served at 7:30 a.m. in the Darling Atrium of the Meeting House. Mayhew’s talk will begin at 8 a.m. in Gracie Theatre.
Mayhew will speak about the structural changes under way at DHHS, the financial challenges the agency faces and efforts to transform how services are delivered to Maine’s most vulnerable people.
“These issues will impact thousands of Mainers in the months and years to come, and we look forward to hosting members of the greater community for this important discussion led by Commissioner Mayhew,” Husson President Robert Clark said in a press release announcing the event.
