EAST CHAPMAN – Viola M. Beaulieu, 83, a dedicated and devoted daughter, sister and aunt, died Dec. 28, 2011, at The Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Edmund and Anna (Bouchard) Beaulieu.
She was a hard working person. She worked as a cook at Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, and area restaurants, including Roma Cafe, Simpsons, and Shirley and Harold’s. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of Daughters of Isabella, the altar society and Spragueville Extension.
She is survived by a brother, Franklin Beaulieu and his wife, Anita, of Chapman; five sisters, Mildred Beaulieu and her husband, Charles, of Chapman, Carol Giles of Bangor, Joan Dietrich and her husband, Joe, of Brunswick, Loretta Beaulieu of Mars Hill and Edna Pirie of Chapman; brother-in-law, William Mosberg of Arnold, Md.; a sister-in-law, Monique Beaulieu of Topsham; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a baby girl Beaulieu; brothers and sisters, Rena Beaulieu, Brenda Beaulieu, Bernard Beaulieu, Reginald Beaulieu and Linda Mosberg. The family thanks everyone at The Aroostook Health Care Center, Mars Hill, for the loving and wonderful care they gave Viola, especially Dr. David Jones.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Presque Isle, where friends may call noon until time of the Mass. A reception will be afterward at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle. Online condolences may be expressed at
