Doss (7.7 ppg), 6-6 F Zavier Sanders (5.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg)

Outlook: This is a rare home-and-home matchup between nonconference opponents. Granger, a preseason All-Ohio Valley team choice, recently became the 36th player in Eastern Illinois history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. This game shapes up as duel between guards as both teams have stellar backcourts. McLemore is one of the nation’s leading scorers and Edwards and Granger are also right up there. EIU is coming off an 87-72 loss at Northwestern on Sunday while Maine beat Utah Valley 77-60 on Monday night. Allison made his 2011-12 debut memorable with 11 points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots. McKinnie had 24 points and 14 rebounds in the overtime win over Maine last month and shot 9-for-12 from the floor. Allison will be one of the players who will try to shut down McKinnie. Miller had 19 points. McLemore had a game-high 26 points.
