UMaine-Fort Kent men win two

PROVIDENCE — The University of Maine-Fort Kent men’s basketball team posted an 80-75 victory over Johnson and Wales University Saturday and a 55-54 win over Virginia University-Lynchburg on Sunday at the Harborside RAC.

UMFK, now 8-5, used a strong second half to pull away for the Saturday victory.

Jeremy Thomas paced the winners with 28 points and seven rebounds. Manny Odugbela chipped in with 21 points and Pablo Llamas netted 15.

Lamonte Thomas led Johnson and Wales with 21 points.
