Outlook: The Black Bears return home for the first time since a 72-60 win over Holy Cross on Nov. 27. They have played their last four games on the road, going 1-3. Maine hasn’t played since a 77-63 loss to San Diego nine days ago. Utah Valley is coming off a 71-68 home loss to Georgia State on Saturday night, so they could be travel-weary. The Wolverines have a solid nucleus back from last year’s 19-11 team that was the top seed in the Great West Conference tournament, only to be knocked off by South Dakota in the semifinals 72-70. Williams was the league’s Most Valuable Player and coach Dick Hunsaker was the league’s coach of the year. His son Holton was the league’s player of the week a week ago after scoring a career-high 26 points in a 93-87 win over Portland State. Maine’s Singleton led Maine past Utah Valley in Utah last year with six points in overtime after a game-tying jumper in the final second of regulation.
