Armed robbery reported at Westbrook Subway

WESTBROOK, Maine — An armed man robbed a local Subway on Friday night, according to a press release from the Police Department.

Westbrook police answered the report of an armed robbery about 7:45 p.m. Friday at the Subway on Bridgton Road, according to Lt. Michael F. Nugent.

The robber reportedly showed a handgun and demanded all the store’s cash. He fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. There were no injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 8, 140-150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gray mask covering his face, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and dark blue sweat pants with a white stripe down the sides and paint on the right leg.
