BANGOR, Maine — Police are looking for a woman who walked out of the Bangor Target with nearly $400 worth of DVDs that she hadn’t paid for, according to police Sgt. Paul Edwards.

Officer Jamie Fanning went to the store around 4 p.m. Wednesday after security officers reported the theft.

The woman took the DVDs off the shelf and concealed them, Edwards said. When store security confronted her, she told them she had put the merchandise back on the shelf and then left the store, according to Edwards.

At the time of the theft, the woman was wearing a purple-and-white sweatshirt.

Edwards asked that anyone who could identify the woman call Officer Jamie Fanning at 947-7382, ext. 95772, or press 6 to leave an anonymous voice message.
