Hancock County police agencies are asking for the public’s help locating a Sullivan man who has been missing since last Saturday.

Wayne Hodgkins, 57, was last seen at around 8 p.m. Saturday night at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Ellsworth. Hodgkins’ landlord became concerned and contacted police when he didn’t return to his home for several days, according to Hodgkins’ daughter, Missy Butac.

Hodgkins has brown hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Hodgkins may be driving a red 2001 Ford Ranger with a Maine license plate of 5960SK.

Butac said her father is an active man who frequently digs for clams and worms in the area and isn’t prone to disappearing, so his family is very concerned. She is urging anyone who may have seen or heard from Hodgkins since Saturday to contact the police.

Information on Hodgkins is also being posted on the Ellsworth Police Department’s Facebook page.

Anyone with information on Hodgkins should call the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office at (207) 667-7575.
